Cowabunga! is a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fan comic written by Bryon "Psyguy" Beaubien, and is hosted on Fireball20xl.com. Drawing primarily upon the original TMNT cartoon's universe, Cowabunga! has the boys in green working to put a stop to the Shredder and Krang's latest plot- a mystery stemming from Krang's cryptic and distorted message to the Foot, "Mutagen for soldiers-- FINAL ASSAULT!!"
This page takes place immediately after the Turtles find Krangs video message in the USTGRI building. The Foot Ninjas break into the room in grand fashion, vastly outnumbering the heroes. I had come up with a design I really liked for the Foot, and wanted to get a chance to really showcase it, so I decided to make the break-in a splash page. The Turtles really needed to look like they had their work cut out for them, so I decided to have the Foot pouring in not only from above the scene, but even from outside the panel. I think it makes the page just a little bit more claustrophobic, which only helps its purpose.
