Hellboy Convention Print

Since I found out about Hellboy, he's been one of my favorite characters design-wise. Especially because his design is so versatile in terms of how it can be portrayed. You can go with the classic Mignola style, the Hellboy Animated style, the realistic movie style, and they all mix and match well. My spin on the character tends to have the features and apparel of the second live action movie, and the build of the Animated style, with hints of Mignola's beautiful ink work.
The cool thing about Hellboy is that his backstory is that he's supposed to be here to bring about the apocalypse, but he chooses not to, and I wanted to reflect that subtly in this picture. The background is actually a Rennaisance-era painting depicting the 1/3rd of Heaven's angels that sided with Lucifer falling run through some Photoshop filters.
