The Redeemers is a story written by Eric Rampson and is set to be printed by Ronin Studios. The story follows an up-and-coming Chicago rock band, whose growing fan base is not only due to how much they can rock, but because of how amazing their live show is! The special effects, the storytelling, the costumes! Or so it seems. The Redeemers actually all have REAL supernatural powers and are regularly challenged at their shows by demonic forces!
I've got something of an affinity for action splash pages. Extended fight sequences, fine, whatever, but I love action splash pages. So here's where I got to showcase all the guys powers- first and foremost, we see Gabe's angelic side coming out and the transformation of his guitar into a flaming sword. Neil, the werebeast battles the boar monster previously seen, and Dex uses ranged magical attacks. I should mention that there's another gaggle of cameos on this page, as well, all of them in the crowd. While I won't name all of them, I will mention that fellow FB20XL staff members Alan S, Teeks, and Fooly are all depicted on this page, as well as SheezyArt moderator, Doodlibop, and VioletChaos, a friend of mine. I actually did this page in full color, as well. I'm offering it as a print at the 2009 Chicago Comic Con, and after the convention, I'll likely replace this black and white page with the colored version.
