The Redeemers is a story written by Eric Rampson and is set to be printed by Ronin Studios. The story follows an up-and-coming Chicago rock band, whose growing fan base is not only due to how much they can rock, but because of how amazing their live show is! The special effects, the storytelling, the costumes! Or so it seems. The Redeemers actually all have REAL supernatural powers and are regularly challenged at their shows by demonic forces!
Copy Pasta, ahoy! Actually, the fact that the script called for a continual zoom-in on those last four panels was a great time saver, though. I was able to crank out a six-panel page only doing four panels woth of work. Something else I really wanna point out here- I love trying to tell just a little extra story through backgrounds. Much as a I dislike drawing backgrounds (I think a lot of character artists have that problem, but I digress), I love putting in visual ad-libs. That being said, I felt like it might be unclear thus far in the story exactly what Dex's power is, possibly getting misconstrued for laser fire or something, so I added a poster of Harry Houdini by Dex's bunk. Just an extra visual clue to the reader that his power is actually magic-based. The other big thing to mention is the girl in the photograph, the last character cameo in this issue (I make no promises when there's posters to fill :P). The girl is "played" by my friend Lisa, and I worked off a photograph to get it to work.
